Last Wednesday I had the pleasure of meeting Kathy Cano-Murillo (a.k.a. The Crafty Chica). Kathy hosted an event, at Love Shine a cute shop in the East Village, for an evening of crafting, music, cupcakes and fun!

Kathy was a really sweet and lovely person, we all had a lot of fun. She showed us how to make a match box shrine and fabric flower buttons. There were so many creative women who showed up to take part and everyone had a great time. I loved seeing how everyones project turned out. Each one was unique and different.
In addition to crafting and cupcakes we were treated to live music by Rhinestone Graffiti (Maya in the Moment & Boi From Ipanema). They performed acoustically with a ukulele and they were amazing! Maya in the Moment also happens to be the daughter of Kathy The Crafty Chica, talent obviously runs in their family.
Love Shine is an amazing store in New York City, in the East Village. The owner Mark Seamon, was so nice and such a gracious host, I cant recommend this store enough. Its filled with beautiful bags, home décor, jewelry, T-shirts, you name it, all with a Mexican flair. When I say filled thats an understatement, this store is floor to ceiling fun. I was in this store for about 3 hours and every time I turned around I saw something new. Next time youre in New York its a must see.
