I was recently chosen by PUR and BlogHer to review the PUR Advanced Faucet Water Filtration System. I wanted to write this post because I’m a big water drinker, and I truly believe clean drinking water is so important to our health and the health of our children.
SIMPLE INSTALLATION >
As someone who drinks water all day, having this faucet filtration system on my kitchen faucet has made clean drinking water that much more accessible, and I don’t have to constantly refill a pitcher, serious bonus!
Clean water is so important to your health; the chlorine and chemicals that can get into our tap water can, over time, wreak havoc on our kidneys and liver, and young children are especially susceptible.
I have a 4 year old daughter, and I’m always trying to make sure she’s drinking enough water (not always an easy task) and when it comes to kids, convenience is key. This way the water is always available, and no heavy lifting is required.
The PUR Advanced Water Filtration System is so easy to set up. It comes with 4 types of adapters so there is one to fit your faucet. Once you find the one that matches your faucet, you simply screw it on (no tools required), and the faucet filtration system clips onto the adapter. What could be easier, right?
It is very easy to change the filters and there is also an easy-to-see (electronic change-filter) light on the front of the unit that tells you when itÃs time to change your filter.
I use filtered water for everything; drinking, cooking, smoothies, making coffee, ice cubes (theyÃre so clear with filtered water!) anytime I need water other than washing dishes and cleaning. You’d be amazed how much better coffee tastes when you use filtered water. Even with how much I use my faucet filtration system, I find that the filter lasts for quite a while, making this a very economical solution.
I realize some people are fortunate enough to live in an area where the tap water is truly clean and good tasting. I’m always amazed when I visit my dad in Idaho, at how great the tap water tastes.
However, I live in Brooklyn, NY in a building that’s over 100 years old. While I’m sure the pipes have been replaced more recently, I’m still not willing to take that risk for myself or my daughter. Using the PUR Advanced Faucet Water Filtration System my tap water tastes great, and I can feel better knowing that my daughter is drinking clean filtered water.
What do you do to make sure you drink enough water throughout the day? Leave me a comment and share your tips.
