Mix faux fur and rhinestones and you’ve got one fab combination, this Furry Slap Bracelet DIY with Rhinestones is the ultimate fall accessory!
TOOLS & MATERIALS:
- Furry slap bracelet or slap bracelet & faux fur
- Rhinestone brooch or buttons
- Aleene’s Jewel-it glue
If you are able to find a furry slap bracelet (I found mine at Target in the Halloween section) then that’s one less step.
If not, no worries.
You can take a basic slap bracelet and cover it with faux fur. I recommend sewing or using fabric glue to create a cover for the bracelet with the faux fur instead of actually gluing the fur to the bracelet. This will allow the bracelet to move more freely.
Place drops of your Aleene’s Jewel-it glue onto your faux fur where you want to put your brooch.
If your brooch is metal, let the glue sit for about 10 minutes before adding the brooch. This will keep the brooch from sliding and help it to adhere faster.
You can see the button shanks on the back of the buttons I used, this is what I attached to the glue.
Slap it around your wrist and Voila! You have one sparkly, furry fab bracelet!
Leave me a comment and let me know how your bracelet turns out!
