As I sit here typing this post, Seattle is in the midst of one of the biggest snow storms of the decade. It’s been snowing for two days straight. Sea Tac has cancelled all flights and the Governor has declared a state of emergency. We never figured on this when we moved from sunny Southern California last summer. It is beautiful, a winter wonderland, but really really cold. So I will now prepare to go out again and dress myself and my daughter in everything we own, looking like the family who is so not prepared for the snow.
This weekend we had our first snowfall of the season in Seattle.
I’m always amazed at how snow falling can quiet a city. We have the most amazing park near our house, in less than five minutes we can feel like we’re in the middle of the woods. As we were taking these pics the snow started to fall more intensely with huge flakes, it was so beautiful.
