I was inspired to make these two versions of a DIY Ear Cuff by this unique trend to wear larger pieces of jewelry on the ear, its a fresh take on the basic ear cuff.

TOOLS & MATERIALS:

For the first ear cuff I used some assorted rhinestones and a metal giraffe head.

Using your pliers bend your wire to match your design.

Glue all of your rhinestones and pieces to your wire.

Glue your earring back to the bottom of your design.

Having the wire go up and over your ear makes wearing this ear cuff much more comfortable and if your earring is heavy it will help to hold the weight.

For this second ear cuff I used a vintage earring that I had. It is a clip on and I left the clip back on. You can leave it on or take it off, its up to you.

Take a length of your wire and glue it to the top front of your earring.

When the glue has dried bend your wire so that it will fit comfortably up and over your ear.

Even though the earring I used wasnt very large it still needed the wire to go around the ear to keep the earring in place. Otherwise it will lean out or spin around.

A fun change from the usual dangling earrings, these large DIY Ear Cuffs are a new way to express your personality and make a statement.

Be sure to leave a comment and let me know how yours turns out!
