I suggest you use that to your advantage and don&#146;t try to keep the sponge full of paint. <em>The thicker the paint on the jeans the stiffer it will be when it dries.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-582\" title=\"Floral printed jeans DIY\" src=\"http:\/\/www.trinketsinbloom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/floral-printed-jeans-diy-5.jpg\" alt=\"Floral printed jeans DIY\" width=\"630\" height=\"420\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.trinketsinbloom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/floral-printed-jeans-diy-5.jpg 630w, https:\/\/www.trinketsinbloom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/floral-printed-jeans-diy-5-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.trinketsinbloom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/floral-printed-jeans-diy-5-450x300.jpg 450w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 630px) 100vw, 630px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 5<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Once you have painted the front of your jeans allow the paint to dry (usually a couple hours) before turning them over to paint the other side.<br \/>\nWhile your jeans are drying carefully wipe the excess paint off the stencil and set it out to dry as well.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 6<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Once you have finished painting both sides you need to <em>wait about 72 hours before wearing or washing<\/em> your jeans. When you do wash them <em>make sure you turn them inside out before putting them in the washer<\/em>.
