For this bracelet I revisited an old favorite the &#8216;hex nut&#8217;\u009d and this time I brightened it up with a purple rat tail cord. <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>You can easily stack this bracelet with all your others for a great look.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.trinketsinbloom.com\/wearable-diy\/do-it-yourself-hex-nut-bracelet\/#more-2097\"><br \/>\n\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.trinketsinbloom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/hex-nut-bracelet-diy-feature-0605.jpg\" title=\"Hex Nut Bracelet Diy\" alt=\"Hex Nut Bracelet Diy\"\/><br \/>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<h5><a href=\"http:\/\/www.trinketsinbloom.com\/wearable-diy\/do-it-yourself-hex-nut-bracelet\/#more-2097\">VIEW DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS ><\/a><\/h5>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>What you&#8217;ll need to make your DIY Hex Nut Diamond Bracelet:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.homedepot.com\/p\/Everbilt-10-32-Brass-Machine-Screw-Nut-6-Piece-per-Pack-802081\/204274129\" target=\"_blank\">Brass hex nuts<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Brass jump rings<\/li>\n<li>Pliers<\/li>\n<li>24&#8243;\u009d of rat tail cord<\/li>\n<li>Lighter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.trinketsinbloom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/hex-nut-bracelet-diy-materials-0605.jpg\" title=\"Hex Nut Bracelet Diy Materials\" \/>\t\t<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 1<\/strong><br \/>\nLay out your hex nuts to determine your pattern.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 2<\/strong><br \/>\nUsing your pliers, open your jump rings to fit around your hex nuts, you will be joining 2 at a time.<br \/>\nContinue until you have joined all your hex nuts together and completed your pattern.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 3<\/strong><br \/>\nCut your rat tail cord in half.<\/p>\n<p>Fold it over and loop it through your end nut.<\/p>\n<p>Take one hex nut and feed your cords from each side through the hex nut.<\/p>\n<p>Tie your ends in knots.<\/p>\n<p>Using your lighter, <em>carefully<\/em> melt the ends of your cord. You don&#8217;t have to touch the cord with the flame and it melts very quickly. <em>Please be careful.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.trinketsinbloom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/hex-nut-bracelet-diy-tut-0601.jpg\" title=\"Hex Nut Bracelet Diy Instructions\" \/>\t<\/p>\n<p>I have to tell you that I was inspired to make this bracelet while I was watching an episode of the Real Housewives of Orange County, when I was at the gym. Inspiration can come from any where, right? Lol&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><p>I actually set out to make earrings with this project. But when they were finished, even though they were cute, they were way too heavy! My ear looked like it was being pulled off!
