Supplies to make your DIY Knotted Rope Bracelet:

• Colorful cord or rope – I found mine at the 99 cents store
• Scissors
• Aleenes Jewel-it glue – (ILoveToCreate)
• Pliers
• Closures
• Jump rings
• End caps

step 1
Cut 2 pieces of your rope the same length.

I cut mine 8 inches, thats 2 inches longer than the circumference of my wrist.

Very carefully hold your ends over a flame. (I used my stove, thats probably not the best way.)

You can use a candle or a lighter, just please be very careful and dont get your cord too close. Synthetic fibers can be unpredictable when heated.

You can also use a fabric glue if you prefer.

The purpose of this is just to keep your rope or cord from unraveling.

Take your Aleenes Jewel-it glue and put a small amount inside your end caps.

Because they are metal youll want to wait about 10 minutes before adding your rope.

Depending on the type of end caps you have, I used 2 different kinds, fold your rope in half and press the ends of your rope into your end cap and either fold your end cap around your rope or really push it on tightly.

Let your glue dry.

Once your glue is dry you can add your jump rings and your closures.

Take your 2 loops and push your ends through your loops to make the knot.

I found my colorful cord at the 99 cent store, you can find this kind of cord at most hardware stores, 99 cent stores, drug stores. Its nothing fancy but its bright and pretty. Im still on the lookout for a bright green!

This is a really simple and fun bracelet DIY and it would be perfect to make with friends (so you can use up all that cord). Ill see if I can come up with another DIY to use up more of that cord.

I really love the simple knot in this bracelet and how fun it is stacking multiple colors. You can really have fun mixing it up.
