I would take your rose a step further by adding a pearl bead in the center of it, and not use a safety pin but a neater looking broach pin. I would also use some silver or dark blue glass glitter on the edges of some of the pedals. But that’s just me. God bless, Linda Winchell

Unfortunately even melting or burning plastics in well-ventilated areas/outside is dangerous, due to the toxic chemicals which are released, which people not only breathe in, but are absorbed into soil and the human body, where they stay for a really long time, meaning that the health risks don’t necessarily show themselves immediately, and you could be putting your neighbours at risk without realising. :(

Makes it easier to understand. I have made 2 spoon roses and I am having a hard time with them being too thick, as in the back. And ideas as to how I can fix that?

Hi Taylor,
What you want to do is just get the ends hot enough that they’re soft and press them together with the other petal. There were times I had to use my pliers to squeeze them together. You have to work fast and just one petal at a time.
Only heat the petal you are going to add, then using your pliers push the soft part into the other petals.
Make sure they’re completely cool and solid before moving them.
I hope this helps. Good luck!
xoxo
Cathy
