step 1
Take your paper and fold it in half.Holiday Cards DIY Paper

step 2
Go through your old magazines and cut out images, colors, textures, anything that catches your eye.

TIP:
Go through your magazines ruthlessly, if you like it dont question just rip it out. You can always change your mind later, but I find if I question things at this stage too much it will take FOREVER to find images.

step 3
Trim your images and decide where you want them to go on your card.

Lay them out, you can even take pictures with your phone of different layouts to see which one you like best.Holiday Cards DIY Collaging

step 4
Once you have your layout set, take your glue (I use “YES” stick flat glue, its great for paper, you can get it at Michaels and most art supply stores) and your brush and glue your images to your card.

step 5
When your images are all glued down, you can now add your stencils and glitter.Holiday Cards DIY Stencil

I laid the stencil on top of my card and used a light coat of paint, then removed the stencil and while it was still wet, I added my glitter.

You can also paint on them or draw, its up to you.Holiday Cards DIY Front and BackHoliday Cards DIY

Creating each card yourself allows you to really personalize each card and tailor it to the person youre giving it to. Add unique images or colors that you know that person will really like.

And dont forget to make a fun note to go inside too!

Happy Holidays!
