Embellished Sandals are a hot trend for summer, this is a really quick way to create your own and give them a personal touch without breaking the bank.
A simple pop of color on a neutral sandal turns a basic sandal into chic summer sandals. This DIY tutorial will show you how to easily create your own.
TOOLS & MATERIALS:
- Sandals – I bought mine at The Gap
- Strung shells or beads – I used these from JoAnn
- Hot glue
- Scissors
step 1
Measure your strung shells across the part of your sandals where you want to place them.
Cut the string (mine were on a monofilament/plastic string) leaving an extra inch.
step 2
Put a drop of hot glue at either end of your string of shells. This will keep them from sliding off.
step 3
Put a line of hot glue across your sandals where you want to place your shells.
Add your shells and let dry.
step 4
Snip your threads on either end right where you put the drop of hot glue to finish the ends.
I love the pop of turquoise against the brown leather. These sandals are perfect to pair with most any summer outfit. They’d look great with white, denim or most any color.
Leave me a comment and let me know how your sandals turn out.
Просто шикарные сандалии.
