MINAUDIERE WITH GOLDEN HORSE
The Kentucky Derby is less than two weeks away on May 5th. Normally all the attention is on the hats, but why not a chic bag to go with your amazing hat. This project is so easy you’ll be amazed.

Supplies for your Minaudiere with Gold Horse:
- Sunglasses case (clam shell style)
- Plastic horse
- Black glitter
- Mod Podge
- Gold spray paint
- Glue
Step 1:
In a well ventilated area, paint your horse with gold spray paint. Let dry.
Step 2:
In a bowl mix your Mod Podge with your black glitter.
Step 3:
Using a brush cover your glasses case with your glitter/mod podge mixture. Let dry.
Step 4:
As you can see, once your glitter/mod podge mixture dries it will be clear. Glue your painted horse to the top of your glittered case. Let dry.
Step 5:
Your minaudiere is ready for the Derby!

what kind of glue did you use? I feel like gorilla glue and hot glue gun would be too messy

I love this! But I have an old earing case that looks like a real clutch that is perfect for this project. However, its not plastic its like a suede finish and I was wondering if the mod podge would still work for this? Any suggestions?..

Thanks! You shouldn’t have a problem using the mod podge on a suede finish. I used it on this project http://www.trinketsinbloom.com/wearable-diy/diy-glitter-shoes/ the shoes were a suede finish. It worked great and is staying on.

I have always wanted to do this, but finding the right glasses case is rather tricky

Hi Mary,
Mod Podge is a glue. You can make your own using equal parts and mixing one part white glue (like the kind you use in school) with one part water.

How can we get different colour instead of black on it..??
