When I was a little girl my grandmother would paint my nails and she would often “leave out the moons” as she called it. At the time I thought I thought it was a little weird and really didnt like it. So its a bit ironic that Im now doing a whole post on it.

EMERALD GREEN PANTONE’S COLOR 2013

0

Every year Pantone releases it’s color of the year and 2013’s color is Emerald Green (PANTONE 17-5641 Emerald to be exact.)Emerald Green Pantone Color of 2013

“Lively. Radiant. Lush… A color of elegance and beauty that enhances our sense of well-being, balance and harmony.”
Pantone website

OK, so I’m about 17 days late (or more) on this information, however, I’m so happy about this. I love green! All green’s and I think emerald is one of the most wearable, flattering and soothing colors out there.

Green is the most commonly found color in nature and it’s one of the most calming as well. For centuries green has been used to represent renewal and healing. We’re now starting into 2013 and this new era, it’s perfect that the color of the year should be emerald green.

There are so many ways to incorporate emerald green into your wardrobe and your life. If you’re a bit timid about green you can start with a small pendant or bracelet. If you’re a bit more daring you can go with emerald nails or go all the way with an emerald dress, cardigan or just add a touch of emerald with a great pair of shoes.

Be sure to look for up coming DIY’s, where I’ll be using Emerald Green to celebrate this beautiful color of the year.

one – cardigan J.Crew
two – Pamela Love Skull Pendant Necklace
three – Pantone 17-5641
four – Butter nail polish
five – Deborah Lippmann nail polish
